Four papers are presented in this issue. The first one analyzes the problems of political violence and criminality in the midst of the Colombian armed conflict, the next two address problems of Colombian agriculture such as rural reform and the land restitution process, while the last text presents proposals for a security agenda in the Aburrá Valley.
