This paper proposes a typology of urban conflicts, answering the questions: what is the specificity of urban conflict, how can it be defined, what is its typology, giving an answer under the sociological approaches from which the conflict-city relationship is defined, and taking up the classic discussion on the urban question that gave rise to two great traditions of thought.
