This documentary is the result of the research "Impacts of gold mining in the Nechí River", conducted by the Human Rights and Peace Observatory of the Instituto Popular de Capacitación (IPC), which shows the socioeconomic effects and environmental liabilities that this activity has left in local communities, the biological and physical-chemical impacts on ecosystems and wetlands, the contradictions in environmental legislation and the practices of companies in legal loopholes.
